I was the line producer on this film.
The story moves from loading the truck and moments in the cab to time with family. The vehicle stays in the story, alongside the person driving it and the reason for the journey.
Production
As a line producer, I read a proposal with the shooting conditions in mind. Getting vehicles to the location, finding space for the performances and moving between scenes all affect how much time is left for the creative work on set.
The finished film includes exterior scenes, vehicle interiors, rooms and group performances. I look at whether the production ultimately serves the people and story, as well as getting through the shot list.
